Bannockburn Amateur Football Club & Our Teams

We are justly proud of our reputation as one of Scotland’s top amateur football teams. Why? Well, whether it’s on or off the field we do whatever we can to be successful while staying true to what’s important to us as a village club.

Established in 1968, our list of honours includes Three Scottish Amateur Cup wins and four West of Scotland Amateur Cup wins, and uniquely a continuous presence in the Caledonian League’s Premier division.

Off the pitch, we pride ourselves in running our club as professionally as possible. All our volunteers and sponsors feel an affection for the club that goes beyond simply winning trophies - though that is great when it happens.

Instead, it is simply a great club to be involved with. Stirling Council recognised this in 2005 when we achieved Charter status and following on from that in 2008 Bannockburn Amateur were awarded the SFA Quality Mark. Being an SFA Quality Mark club means we have and will continue to demonstrate and implement the running of our club effectively and efficiently.

Always going forward, we plan to meet our aim of enabling enjoyable and successful participation in football by continuing our good relationships with the people of Bannockburn, our sponsors and our respective leagues, plus increasing our member teams through greater youth involvement. In 2005 our youth team for 1990 age group players was formed attracting local youths following the SFA pathway playing in the Forth Valley Football Development Association. The players had a very successful time winning the FVFDA League cup three times in four seasons. The 1990 age group team will now play in the Stirling & District AFA as an Amateur team from season 2009-10. Also in season 2009-10 a new Bannockburn team will play in the FVFDA as an under 13`s (age group 1997 players) team. All of this happens by following the things we feel are important to us. These are: team working, professionalism, fun, continuing learning, creative expression and openness with everyone.

We hope you find the site informative and interesting.
